I don't know about everyone else out there but my life sure has a way of being very full. The morning starts and everything gets rolling and then daddy's walking in the door and the day is over. In the blink of an eye you are literally in the future. Amazing. I am watching my infant grow so quickly. I haven't been documenting with photographs like I did my older child. Am I going to remember it all? What else have I been doing? I think back to when he was 1, 2 or 3 months old and it feels like an eternity ago... Amazing isn't it. Just amazing. The way they grow and change and keep growing and keep changing. Sometimes I feel like my head is going to spin round and round and pop off... the future is always so present!
And my life, it's so full! I am so grateful for where I live and how I live. I am so grateful for my family and friend, my pets and livestock, my experiences, and my kitchen. My kitchen has become my mad scientists lab. I spend hours in there daily with my infant. He loves to touch and poke and prod. Sticking his fingers in anything that he possibly can. It's been so bitterly cold out that I don't go out much and that means lots and lots of kitchen time. Lots of making and tweaking recipes to get them just right. Lots of experimenting. And lots and lots and lots of cookies... Why cookies? Well frankly, because they are hard and I like the challenge. Plus, even the mess ups usually taste good. We are going to have lambs on the ground within a couple months. Bunnies will start coming soon as well. Although we decided to get rid of our chickens I am tempted to see if one of the two female ducks we have will raise a clutch. I love my ducks. We kept them because they are so cold hardy and my older son loves and tolerates eggs. Myself and my husband aren't quite so lucky. What else have I been doing... crafting with the boys. I am going to start getting ready for Valentines day. I got heart cookie cutters a bit ago and I'm going to make and dry some stuff for #1 to paint...he does love to paint. Maybe I will make ornaments or garland with them? I am also thinking about doing some felting. Maybe some felted hearts! Mushrooms? What's on others plates for their little ones right now?? There is also the garden... gotta get planning that. Oh! That reminds me! FedCo catalog. namaste.
